The site has been re-launched to share the experience and success of Oz-trek.
I give you the medicine of Joseph Jastrab, a writer whose words inspire me.

Here is his blessing for the return home:

           "It was a holy purpose that brought you into these woods, and it is
            an equally holy purpose that returns you. For you are (ones) who
            have chosen to walk... a path with heart. It is a path that leads
            through heaven and hell with equal regard. Be not afraid of what you
            find in either realm...Fear may temporarily cause you to forget who
            you are, but there is nothing in the world that can rob you of your
            richness...stay attentive, and trust whatever comes. Living in your

With that, I would like you to step into the reflective space of the inner and outer life of Oz-trek, my journey and my dream to walk across a continent.

We will travel together along the various stages of adventure, hardship and growth.  I hope you will return often and share with me the beauty and wonder of the road ahead.

EiA2 - 'Rupert's Return'

EDUCATION IN ACTION 2-Venture is an ambitious and exciting walking expedition through the goldfields region of Western Australia. A satellite-linked, human-powered unit moving as a highly interactive, educational project. The EiA2 experience will combine the thrill of an authentic expedition with expansive and content-rich educational potential.

The best way to learn about a country is to walk through it and live in it. The EiA2 expedition represents the most effective way to do this. Our expedition cart is totally self-sufficient - there are no backup vehicles. This not only enables us to travel almost anywhere, in the true style of the explorers of the 19th and 20th centuries, but also provides an authentic and comprehensive 'back-to-basics' Australian bush experience.
